Chicks in Rooms 16/ 17

 Today we had Lucy's chicks in our classroom. Lucy had worked on a project and she came to share it with us. The chicks were silkies. They have fluffy feathers down their legs and they have 5 toes!!! Their skin is black but their feathers are yellowish. We all got to pat the chick carefully. They felt warm and soft. Thanks Lucy and your mum for teaching us about them.

St Patricks Day

   Here we are wearing our green clothes for St Patricks Day. We donated our gold coins to the SPCA.

                                           We are doing our irish dancing.

                                       Green scones!! Yum!! Our room smelt delicious.

 What a great idea to go down the slide in boxes. We wanted to go even faster so we thought it would be a good idea to go down the big slide. Wow what fun!!!

                                    Playing shops is such fun. Insect pies for dinner Yum!!

Swimming Demo to our parents

Today we got to show our parents all of our learning in the swimming pool. We have all improved so much.We can all put our heads under and we are learning to float, kick and blow bubbles. It was fun collecting the balls and rings for the green buckets.

Week 4 Learning Journal

Imaginative Play Outside- Fishing

                          We are fishing off the whalf. We hope we will catch a big fish!!!

                            Come on!! We are waiting for the fish to arrive so we can sell it in our shop!!

Art Deco dress up day

 Jack, Adam and Demetry are sitting in the olden day car. Jack shared that his braces keep his pants up!!

 Jay and Shayden are wearing braces too just like the boys used to wear. Cooper looks flash in his bow tie and hat.

 Wow look at Kayden, Logan and Tamati. They loved the old car. Thanks Mrs Sullivan for bringing it to school.

All the girls love wearing their headbands. Feathers in the headbands made them special. It was fun learning about how the people used to dress.

Choosing Whisper phones

Ruhi and Jayna-May chose reading on the whisper phones. Well done girls!! The more you read, the better you get.

 Cassidy, Teeghan and Renae are playing a game where Teeghan is the mum, Cassidy is the fairy princess and Renae is their lovely little pet.

                      Adam decided to read a book in the quiet room. Nice choice Adam!!

Learning to take turns.

We are learning to work with a buddy and take turns while making our puzzles up. We were so proud when we had finished them together. 

Lunchtime Under the Trees!

We have our lunch and morning tea under the trees at the front of the school. It is like having a picnic every day. WE are so lucky!!

What a great start Rooms 16 and 17. We have already learnt so much. What a happy and friendly group of children you are. This year is going to be full of fun and learning.
