A very special visitor

Kayleigh's family bought their turtle to school today because we have been learning about them. He was very well behaved and stayed safely in his container all day. The Room 20 children were very kind and watched him quietly throughout the day. 

Art Deco Day

Today we dressed up for Art Deco Day at school. We looked very smart. Here are some of the Room 20 children. We had a lovely picnic lunch outside with the whole school.

Tea Party

Today we were stuck inside all day!!! Xander and Harper made a tea party in the family corner. It was so well set out.

Learning through Play

 Caleb made an octopus to put into the cave as a follow-up to "The Rainbow Fish" book where we learnt that sharing makes us happy. We are now wanting to learn about sea turtles.

Our Whiteboard Table

We love our whiteboard table and we learn from each other when we are drawing and writing together.

Our Powhiri

On Friday we had a Powhiri at school.  Because we are all new our family could come too. Some of the teachers are new so they joined us. Here we are being welcomed into our school.

           We had to sit on the mats and listen to the speakers. We sat beautifully and listened.

                          Here is Mrs Lowe and Mr Gifkins. We listened to them carefully.

      We walked in a line and shock hands with Mr Gifkins and some other teachers at our school.

We have now been welcomed into our school. Thank you Mrs Lowe and Miss Pohe. We are now waiting for our iceblock and our families went to have a cup of tea.
