Making Fruit kebabs

Today we made fruit kebabs as part of our learning on writing procedures. We had to follow instructions so that our kebabs turned out correctly. Mrs Ramsey helped us with this. Thank you Mrs Ramsey.

We did some statistics on the our favourite ingredient. We found out that marshmallows were the most popular ingredient and grapes were the least favourite. The teachers liked pineapple best.

We are very good at writing procedures now. Our next challenge is to write our speeches. We will be doing this next week. Then we take them home to practise. The following week we start presenting our speeches to the class. That will be exciting.

Planting day!

Today we all planted our plants into a pot. It is now our responsibility to care for our plants. We will water them daily- but not too much. We put them outside our classroom during the day and then bring them in at the end of the day. It is important to care for plants because they give us oxygen.

the sleep over

On Friday my friend  is coming to my house. We are going to play play station and a game of  chess and I've got everything planned. For lunch we are having lollies and for tea we are having pizza.

The Rocky Shore

Last Wednesday Mum,Jonathan,Hope,Amy,Laura and I went to the rocky shore. We saw hermit crabs. There were lots of star fish. Mum told me that the star fish that looks like they are going to blow up are called cushion stars. Some of the rocks had white circular things on them. Mum told me that when the water is high tide and it covers the rocks they open up. Mum told me the name of them but I forgot. Then I put some water on the rocks and they opened up. Luckily I brought a container. Unfortunately I brought my crocks. My crocks kept on falling off and I kept on getting water in them, and kept on thinking that a crab was in my crocks.
