Bugs

 We are interested in learning about bugs at the moment. We made a giant bug in our classroom. Insects have 3 body parts, 6 legs and antennae. Some insects have wings. Other children have been making bugs with playdoh or painting bugs. Tomorrow we are going to read stories about insects and write our own stories from these.

Crazy Shoe Day

Marble Tracks

We have been busy designing marble tracks in our class. We figured out we needed a stop so used a block. We also figured out how to make a jump and how to make ramps. Different ramps made the marble go faster.

Book Character Dress Up Day

We had lots of fun today. We had a parade around the courts with the whole school. The teachers had to go into the middle and dance. Then we got to dance too!! We loved walking around in the parade.

Buddy Class

On Friday our buddies came to our class. They read us a story and we read our reading books to them. They were amazed at how good we are at reading. Then we got to go outside and our buddies checked that we doing an underarm throw correctly. We got pretty good at aiming and throwing through the hoop.

Teddy Bears Picnic

What a fun day!!! We made sandwiches and chocolate Teddy biscuits. We had lovely crunchy apples as well. We sang some bear songs and finally got to eat. YUM!!!!!

Chalk Pictures of Bears

 Logan D drew this fabulous chalk picture this morning. He got his inspiration from it being Teddy Bear Picnic Day. More photos to come.

Buddy Time

We love it when our buddies come from Room 21 to visit us. Today we read to them, then we showed them how good we are at sounding our alphabet and reading our early words. After that we shared our favourite choosing activity with them. Thanks Buddies :)

Working together

The children worked so well together to make a space station. Co operation and perseverance helped make some work that the children were very proud of.

Room 20 children tried very hard today to make beautiful fluttering butterflies.

The children are learning lots about sharing and helping each other. They are developing their oral language through play. What good choices they are making.

 During the week we had learnt r r robot so the children wanted to make robots. They worked together with a buddy and came up with amazing ideas. Mrs England was so proud of the way we all worked. We had to work together, problem solve and keep trying.
